Kalkara Day is organised by the Kalkara Local Council. On the day dignitaries, local NGOs, groups and individuals lay wreaths and flowers on the monument of the Second World War located in the Holy Family Square in remembrance to those that perished during the war. A mass is also held in the Kalkara Parish Church and other activities such as Parades, concerts and commemorations are held, were yearly, a person from Kalkara is awarded the Kalkara Honour.
